Minette Riordan – Lincoln Gallery
My work is a contemporary expression of folk art, rooted in storytelling and emotional resonance. Using bold color, layered textures, and symbolic imagery, I create vibrant, animal-centered paintings that invite viewers into a world where intuition and imagination guide the way.
Each piece is a visual narrative—alive with personal myth, archetype, and memory. Animals are central figures in my work; they serve as both muse and messenger, reflecting the inner landscapes we often overlook. My process is deeply intuitive, shaped by emotional connection to both subject and materials, allowing stories to emerge organically through paint, line, and symbol.
In addition to my studio practice, I am a teacher and retreat facilitator, guiding midlife women through creative exploration as a path to self-discovery. My art and my teaching are intertwined—both rooted in the belief that creativity is not only a means of expression, but a powerful tool for transformation.
